Objective: Give new life to current nebulizer cups. This includes making them easier to produce, no assembly for patients/parents, easy to clean to prevent debris build up and germ infestation, ergonomic, and exceptionally easy to reuse.

Nebulizers are used for a variety of reasons. Most commonly they are used on asthmatics to prevent or treat attacks. It can also help with allergies and help open airways if one has temporary lung-related issues such as pneumonia. Some use them as many as 4 times each day.

Current nebulizer cups have numerous issues. First and foremost, there are many small pieces - hardly any of which are interchangeable. Having multiple pieces also poses a more important issue: the quality of the treatment. All pieces must be sterile and free of debris, otherwise they can actually cause infection. Debris can also clog ports, preventing the machine from properly minimize the particles to proper inhalation size. If someone is not acquainted with the pieces, it can be nerve-wrecking and more difficult to assemble during an attack. Since time is crucial when it comes to saving an asthmatic’s life, a new concept is required.

The solution: a one piece cup. Patients no longer have to worry about a good treatment and cleaning is a breeze! They can be boiled or washed in the dishwasher. Now you never have to worry about small pieces being lost or mis-matched! A dip is in the mouthpiece for either lips or gums, prolonging the life of the cup since teeth can not crush them. Also 100% recyclable.
