Georgia-Pacific, a world-wide distributor of paper and wood products based out of Atlanta, commissioned a studio to create new needs and products for paper towels. Our main goal was to penetrate the market and help Georgia Pacific remain the leader in their segment and expand to become the leader in remaining areas.

I proposed a variety of ideas and their varying concepts to the company. Both of my final concepts were chosen for further development. I worked on the portable roll and a classmate worked on the other. For this project, I conducted user research, prototype testing, prototype development, designed packaging, developed marketing concepts, as well as print advertisements.

The final product: a more versatile unit. This was composed of a smaller roll, creating a product unique to the company, a carrier useful in storing, using, and carrying the roll around, and an ambidextrous panel making tearing of sheets a breeze. The handle is ergonomically designed for comfort and the arm is both comfortable for carrying. The product stays accessible while one is cleaning while being versatile and adaptable to your cleaning environment.
